Gamers therapy is not accredited or qualified in anything psychological. You are responsible for your wellbeing and Gamers Therapy will be here to support you, to listen to you, to try and assist if we can and with permission, share your story. Like a non-judgemental friend. As the previous owner has said to me before, “Sometimes, people just need someone to listen.”  If you feel you are a danger to yourself or someone else then you should contact the appropriate services. Gamers Therapy does not accept responsibility for any danger that could befall you from one of our stories or guides. Every person’s situation is unique so act accordingly.   

THIS IS A JUDGEMENT FREE BLOG. ANYBODY THAT COMMENTS ABOUT ONES RACE, THEIR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY, RELIGION, AND ACTIONS IN A SITUATION. GOOD PEOPLE DO BAD THINGS SOMETIMES. THEIR COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED AND THE USER WILL BE WARNED. THREE WARNINGS AND THE OFFENDER WILL BE BANNED. 

WHEN COMMENTING MAKE SURE YOU CONVEY THE CORRECT TONE, ADD AN EMOJI IF YOU NEED TO. WHILE EVERYBODY’S TRIGGERS ARE DIFFERENT AND WE CAN’T PREVENT ALL OF THEM, COMMUNICATING IN A CLEAR AND CONCISE WAY WILL SMOOTHEN THE PROCESS. REMEMBER THIS. THE COMMENT YOU READ, YOU ARE READING IT IN A TONE, THAT YOU BELIEVE WAS INTENDED. BUT YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THE INTENTION ACTUALLY WAS SO TYPE CLEARLY AND TRY TO SPELL CORRECTLY. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU CAN EMAIL US AND WE WILL INVESTIGATE.

Gamers Therapy has never been about one person’s experiences. It has always been about the human connection, sharing stories, supporting others and learning about yourself. That trend will continue.

This blog (soon to be a site at some point) is about sharing knowledge and experiences from people who have either just started struggling with a mental health problem or a person who has had a relationship with it for years and is willing to share their coping mechanisms. Names in these stories will be changed to protect the identities involved unless stated otherwise. All stories published on Gamers Therapy comes with the persons’ permission.

What you gain from this blog is up to you. You can close the page and look up something else but real change can only come from within and this blog will focus on the more raw and truthful things that others don’t want to speak about. This blog will share info on how to go about change and to start coping with it by identifying what tools the person used in the story. Whether you use these tools is up to you.

Important: In group sessions, people are encouraged to participate. Commenting on a post, in this case, is a great way to help you cope. You might find a connection with someone in the comments who is going through a similar situation or actually qualified to give you advice. Some of the strongest connections I personally have made have been forged in groups.

Do not give out your email address or other contact information in the comments.  If you would like someone’s email address, rather enquire with us, so that we can contact the person for permission. While we cannot take responsibility for anything that could potentially happen after email addresses are exchanged, we encourage everyone to be vigilant and use their own sense of intuition when wanting to connect with others. We want everyone to be safe.

Please remember that mental health disorders affect everyone. It doesn’t discriminate. It hits all races, cultures, and genders. Show respect to everyone. We are all human.

Gamers Therapy is open to collaborations regardless of views or follower stats. So no, matter how big or small you are as a website or blog, we will try and help out.

We accept donations which go towards the purchasing of this blog and turning it into a site. Donations also go to those in need.

If you would like to write for this blog, once off or continuously you can email us. There is no payment. You share your articles, stories or experiences willingly. You retain ownership over the articles you have written and at your request, we will remove them. Articles written by us based on your stories and your approval will not be removed.

This is primarily a written word blog. Don’t expect Instagram pictures. Sometimes, we or another author might add a picture but message and story is the core. We want people to look beyond the first thing they see because that is one of the biggest problems everyone has. Judgment on first sight when you know nothing about them.
