Batman: Arkham Origins – Patch Update V1.4 (PS3)

Well, it’s been three weeks since the last update has reached Batman:  Arkham Origins for the PS3.  After Warner Bros.released their apology in the first week, gamers were expecting all issues across all platforms to be resolved, sadly that wasn’t the case.

While a few, bugs and glitches have been fixed, there are still many players who cannot progress.  Some have even started new games with the 1.4 patch and have run into the exact same problems, with the “infinite falling” bug being the biggest culprit on PS3, and corrupted saves on Xbox 360.  These have been addressed, though, in this new patch and a small percentage of gamers are still experiencing those specific bugs.

Other users have bitten the bullet, deleted all game data, including their saves, and reinstalled everything from scratch even disconnecting from the internet hoping to avoid these pathetic issues.  Again, only a handful of them are able to progress and most of the players are too scared now to even venture any further (if there game allows it) for fear of wasting time and loosing progress.

The only new bug that has cropped up is thanks to this newest fix where multi-player lobbies will keep you waiting for games for an exceptionally long time before finally timing out.

It is my opinion that there will be no more updates for this.  The original thread on the Warner Bros. community forums had reached just over one hundred pages before it magically got deleted, so the only negative comments  are four pages.  It is also my opinion that this game was rushed.  As much as I enjoyed it when it worked, it simply had too many game breaking bugs.  While some gamers weren’t affected, a large mass of hardcore fans were and this has caused a major stain on the Arkham series which is renowned for it’s quality in game-play.
